It has been quite blustery the past few days. It looks as if the UK is getting the tail end of the hurricanes as they track across the atlantic on the gulf stream, after they have battered the east coast of America. They seem to be tracking higher up the east coast of the US than usual, it will be interesting to see if this means that the UK will get a battering too.
I think we had the tail end of Irene last weekend, and the weather has stayed fairly unsettled since then. But it looks as much worse could be on the way, and Katia looks particularly intense.
